Creating a Joomla Splash page 1 5 and 1 6

2. Install the module
3. Create a hidden menu {in menu manager create a new menu and call it hidden menu do not create a module for it. in this menu create your hidden splash page and assign to it all the modules and components you want to show on your splash page} the advantage of doing this is that you will be able to use joomlas existing structure contents and installed modules on your splash page without needing to do a lot of coding. Alternatively create your splash page on php or html and put it in the joomla folder you could call it whatever you want then put the url to the page in the mod_splashr module settings.
4. Enable the module, assign it to only your home page and configure your settings for when you want to show the splash page e.g always, once per session, once every x no of days e.t.c
